Ryan Blaney crashes during the NASCAR race in Las Vegas after putting in a great effort.

Ryan Blaney put in a strong effort, but it ended in disappointment when he crashed late in the NASCAR Las Vegas race on Sunday.

On lap 195 of the planned 267 in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Christopher Bell squeezed Blaney as they came out of turn 2, causing him to spin down the backstretch.

As Blaney was spinning, Erik Jones collided with his back bumper. The No. 12 Team Penske Ford suffered significant damage to its front bumper and splitter and was taken to the garage.

“I think it was my fault,” Blaney told FOX Sports pit reporters. “It was just a tough weekend for the Pennzoil team.”

Blaney also faced a serious crash during practice on Saturday when a right rear tire blew, sending him into the wall. He started the race from the back but managed to work his way through the field several times.

Currently, Blaney is in 34th place, but that could change if he can return to the track.
